The NY Daily News reports today that Tiki Barber says he would still be playing football if the Giants had a new head coach according to a new book called "Tiki: My Life in the Game and Beyond," excerpts of which were obtained by the New York Daily News. The article goes on talking about how he claims that the Giants should have paid him at least $10 million more than he was getting paid during his time with the Giants. He also says the Giants should have won more championships over the years, but failed to do so because they have never been too smart about attracting and retaining high-caliber players or coaches.
Longtime Giants fans have never forgiven the owners for letting two of the best coaches in football - Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry - get away. Both took head coaching jobs after the Giants failed to promote them.
Last week there were the articles about Accorsi and being the GM of the Giants, The Tuna wanting to be in the running for the GM job and now this about Tiki... there seem to be quite a few books coming out about the behind the scenes of Big Blue in the near future.

Hmnnnn Tiki a year away from the action rusty not in game shape one year older or Tom who seems to be buliding something here "wheter he gets to finish will be determined?
I dont think this is the GIANTS year, they dont seem to have that dominance the Patriots, Ravens or Colts have or even Pitt and Dallas.
They seem a year away an impact player on both sides of the ball away. They're not far! The system seems to be working, although you question at times the play selection so it's not "Tom"
Would Tiki help the GIANTS? Well let's put it this way he wouldn't hurt them either. The GIANTS seem to be missing that other something on Offense whether that's an aging Armani Toomer and may'bee not fully healed to be repaced. That's to be determined!
Like Tony Dungy said after Indys suprise rookie RB perfomance in replacing Joseph Addai this week. "It isn't the running the ball that's only a small part of it. but it's picking up the blocks, catching passes, running routtes that's also important.
The GIANTS seem to be lacking although both Ward and Jacobs have been very good this year. I'm not one that beliewves it's the just the system
What the GIANTS lack is a Brian Westbrook type player that both Ward and Jacob's isn't, but Tiki very much was and than sone!!!
Yes taking back a 32 one year out of football RB isn't a wise move. The GIANTS best move is to further the progress the developement and teach ball control saftey to rookie Ahman Bradshaw as he and Jacobs should be by next year spliting the load , and he defintely has "Westbrook talent and/or ability
And also look to get someone like F.S.U.'s Anotone Smith a tweeker like Chicago's Devon Hester to replace Sinorice "no show" Moss at both scatback & slot reciever
So no as much as a fan I was of Tiki it's time to look foward not back! We will miss his multi-tasked talents this year, but we must roll foward.
I vote for Tom and the future
