Paul Perdichizzi wrote an article about how the Giants never live up to what they are supposed to be. "Since the Jim Fassel era and now through the Tom Coughlin run, the Giants rarely play how they are expected to. When the season looks bleak, and many so called experts pick the Giants to come in last place or win only six or seven games, they often defy the expectations and have a very solid season, ending up in the playoffs. When the Giants start to get some press as being a top flight team with championship aspirations, the Giants often have a let down and do not live up those lofty expectations."
