Ahh Jim Finn. How sorry I am to see you go. The Giants placed the eight-year veteran fullback on injured reserve because of a torn labrum in his shoulder. Finn had surgery on the shoulder on earlier this week, but will likely need 3-4 months of rehab, according to the NY Daily News. Although he could be ready in October or November, the Giants seem to not want to wait that long to have a fullback.Giants fans liked Jim Finn. Whenever he caught a pass, Big Blue faithful would cheer for the fullback. Fans will remember him most with one movement, side shuffle motion before the ball was snapped behind Eli Manning as Tiki would run the ball to the left or right.
Ralph Vacchiano says, "first-year pro Robert Douglas is the only fullback on the roster, though I'm betting that will change before camp opens on July 27." Check out his blog here. By far Ralph is my favorite, and most sane member of Giants Online seen on the YES Network and archived on Giants.com.
